Another successful MJR project sets sail

We would like to congratulate Parkol Marine Engineering of Whitby, North Yorkshire a valued and long standing customer of MJR, on successful delivery of their latest state of the art Dual Purpose Seiner/Single Rig Trawler, Resilient LK195. Although a much smaller vessel than most of our customer’s vessels, Resilient punches far above its weight in terms of sophistication, electronics and automation with many ‘big ship’ features and systems normally associated with much larger commercial vessels.

MJR were proud to be involved in the project; designing, building, installing and commissioning a very sophisticated vessel electrical power generation and distribution system including Main Switchboard, Power Management System, Electrical Distribution Boards and all Auxiliary Electrical Equipment.

The system contains all of the advanced features normally associated with a full blown commercial vessel electrical system including automatic synchronisation and load sharing of generators, isochronous (constant frequency) operation, automatic transfer to/from shore supply and advanced protection systems. Follwing on from the success of the project we are delighted to have been awarded a similar contract for the next Parkol build vessel, with delivery of the Main Switchboard last week.

Further details of the project can seen in the August 2016 Fishing New Article
