Job Description

MJR Power & Automation are a well-established electrical & automation engineering business that works in the marine, renewable energy and offshore energy markets providing engineering, construction, and installation solutions to a global customer base from its headquarters in Teesside.

We are currently looking for an Experienced Project Manager / Engineer to join the team in our busy Teesside office. The role covers a wide range of duties, and this position will suit a candidate who wishes to develop new skills, the role and enjoys variety within their work.

Responsibilities

The role will include, but not be limited to the following activities:

  • Ensuring that the project is delivered on time and within the agreed budgets.
  • Control production and engineering departments within project requirements.
  • Perform and lead regular risk reviews in order to eliminate, mitigate or manage subsequent residual project risk.
  • Managing/assisting  with the day-to-day project operations.
  • Monitoring subcontractor’s & suppliers’ performance to ensure timely completion.
  • Ensuring compliance and contribute with the company safety, quality, and environmental policies.
  • Review existing policies, procedures, risk assessments and safe systems of work, including an appraisal of how these are implemented across the account.

Job Requirements

  • Min. 2 years’ experience within a similar role
  • Experience managing multiple projects.
  • Experience in complying to a variety of ISO systems & Industry Standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Project & Excel
  • Experienced with or understanding of CAD design packages such as E-Plan, AutoCAD Inventor or SolidWorks.
  • Experience or understanding of PLC & Scada Systems
  • Confident communication skills - written and verbal.
  • Numerate with good attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, enjoy working as part of a team.
