MJR Power & Automation has successfully delivered the complete design and installation of the new state-of-the-art marine CCTV system across four ferries for the UK’s largest ferry operator.
The advanced CCTV systems have been installed on four ferries across yards in Scotland and the North of England in line with Ferry operators planned 2020/21 dry docking schedule – with successful handover to on time and in budget. This included the design and installation of complete network infrastructure with over 160 internal and external cameras with operator stations located in the bridge, ECR and purser office, and associated servers, and UPS’s.
The sophisticated CCTV system gives superior coverage and image quality with full and unrestricted views of both passenger and crew areas, and machine and cargo spaces with up to 30 days’ worth of video storage. The advanced system has internal and external marine cameras with zoom and pan functions including full 360-degree cameras for complete coverage with functions available in real time or on pre-recorded videos. The new CCTV system gives enhanced security that is built to last in even the harshest of environments.
