The Role

The QHSE Administrator will support the delivery and continual improvement of MJR's Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems, ensuring compliance with company procedures, industry standards and legislative requirements.

The successful candidate will work closely with operational teams across the business, assisting with reporting, audits, inspections, compliance activities and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Quality, Health, Safety &Environment

  • Organise and administer QHSE reporting activities, including data collection, trend analysis and report generation.
  • Support compliance with company Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Gather, analyse and present QHSE performance data and identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Assist in the delivery of internal audits, site inspections and workplace tours, receiving training where required.
  • Support the maintenance and continual improvement of the Integrated Management System (IMS), including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements.
  • Assist with accident, incident and near miss investigations and the tracking of corrective actions.
  • Contribute to the company's QHSE audit and assurance programme.
  • Review and maintain policies, procedures, risk assessments and safe systems of work to ensure they remain current and effective.
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of improvement actions arising from audits, inspections and management reviews.
  • Monitor subcontractor and supplier compliance activities and assist in ensuring actions are completed within agreed timescales.
  • Keep up to date with relevant health, safety, environmental and quality legislation and industry best practice.
  • Provide support and recommendations to improve workplace safety, quality and environmental performance across the business.

Job Requirements

Skills and Experience

  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Numerate with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Confident interacting with colleagues, customers and suppliers at all levels.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.

Qualifications

Essential

  • GCSE (or equivalent) in Mathematics and English at Grade C/4 or above.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in an administrative, compliance or QHSE-related role.
  • Knowledge or qualifications relating to Quality, Health, Safety or Environmental Management.
  • Experience working within engineering, manufacturing, marine, offshore or renewable energy sectors.
