MJR Power & Automation replaced outdated Terasaki MCCBs and ACBs with ABB marine-certified EMAX2 and XT range on twelve CalMac ferries. The retrofit, part of a resilience program, was completed during scheduled dockings.

Our Process

A Clear Route from Requirement to Handover

MJR structures marine electrical engineering projects around the asset, technical requirement, interfaces, programme and operating constraints, with responsibilities and testing requirements defined as the scope develops.

Discover & Assess

Review the vessel or asset, operating requirements, existing systems, available documentation, access constraints and expected programme.

process-arrow

Engineer the Scope

Define system interfaces, engineering outputs, equipment, responsibilities, testing requirements and project dependencies.

process-arrow

Build & Install

Coordinate equipment procurement, panel or package build, electrical modifications, installation and system integration as required by the agreed scope.

process-arrow

Test & Support

Complete inspection, testing, commissioning and handover documentation, with ongoing service and lifecycle support available where required.
